Hey kererū,
Thank-you for all uploads to the blog! I have enjoyed reading what you have all been doing in your bubbles. Lots of fitness, writing and maths happening! Keep up the great work.
This morning I went on the home learning website under the 'reading tab'. There are so many great resources on there. I choose to look at slide 5 which was 'kiwi kids news.' I like this website as it keeps me up to date on current events and I always enjoy the 'odd stuff' section. Today I decided to read an article about ANZAC Day as this takes place on April 25th.

I learnt that the poppy is worn by many people around the world to remember those who lost their lives in different wars or to those who still serve. What do you know about Anzac day?

I read the story too and my favorite part of the story is the poem about poppies. I found out that a medical officer who buried his friend who died in the war and he was very sad that he wrote a poem about poppies.
ReplyDeleteI found out that the ANZAC day is the most important day because it is for everyone to remember the people who died in the war.
Dasha thank you for sharing what you found from the article. You have written a great summary of the information you found out and captured the feelings too. Take care and thank you for joining in on the blog.
