Wow Austin! What a great idea. I think we all need to make cranky cakes under lockdown. The ggrumpy face was a clever touch! I'd love to know how it tasted!
Hi Austin What a cool idea. Mr G sometimes needs a cranky cake. Maybe I need to make one. How did it taste? In the last photo it looks like you have a smile on your face! Hope you are feeling happy today! Mr G
Hi Mr Gibson, it tasted like I was eating my crankiness away (Chocolate). I am much happier today, I built a lego hotel for STEM using Study ladder. :)
Hi Austin, what an awesome cake! I find baking and cooking calms me down too. I love how you wrote a story about your cake and what skills you used to bake. It looks delicious! What else do you like to bake?
Austin, I think you're onto something! This is such a great idea. Maybe the supermarkets could start selling grumpy cakes for people who need cheering up! I enjoyed reading about your descriptive story on why you decided to bake a 'grumpy cake' and which ingredients you used. I look forward to your next creative idea! :)
That's great to hear Austin! :) I look forward to seeing the rest of your baking! Have you read Mr Men & Little Miss? they have great stories about emotions.
Hello Austin. Sebastien thinks your cake is really cool. He wants to tell you that he feels the same. Have a nice good time in lockdown and he sends you a smile. From Jacque and Sebastien (Sebastien's mum).
It is awesome to see you finding a clever way to express your emotions. Your cranky cake looks so delicious! I liked how you wrote in your story about the maths learning you did when you were making the cake. I'm glad to hear you are feeling happy today! I hope you are doing some more fun things today. Can't wait to see what you and Brenna are getting up to in your bubble. From Mrs Wales
Hi Mrs Wales, I am about to make a lego Alien Invasion with a ginormous robot fighting them! Brenna is making a zoo and cafe from Duplo and we will post it on the blog when she is done.
That sounds awesome! I wish I had some lego or duplo at my house. I am looking forward to seeing your creations when they are finished! You are both very creative.
Wow Austin what a cool looking cake. I loved reading your writing about it as well. Great job using so many adjectives. I made some hot cross buns yesterday. It took a very long time though and I wasn't sure if they would taste very nice. Did your cake taste delicious? Say hi to Brenna and your Mum and Dad from me. From Miss Thomason
Hi Austen, Miss Muriel here. I love baking it's lots of fun. It looks like you had a blast making your cake. What a great story to accompany your cake too :) Hope you, Brenna, Mum and Dad are well.

ReplyDeleteHello Ms Lunan, it was scrumptious, especially the chocolate icing since it had sprinkles, smarties and Freckles on it!
