Mandala maths challenge

Hey Kererū, I hope you've had a fun weekend!

Thank-you to everyone who has uploaded their work to the blog so far. We have throughly enjoyed seeing what you have been up to in your bubbles.

This week, myself, Mr Gibson and Mrs Walker have decided to create a bit of a challenge on Mondays and Fridays for everyone to partake in. Todays challenge will incorporate some Maths and Art. It is called the 'mandala maths challenge'.

I have uploaded a step by step tutorial for you to follow below. Get creative and have fun. Remember that a mandala is not supposed to be perfect as it is hand drawn. We would love to see your own mandala designs. Good luck! :)

By Mr Gibson. "Here is mine. Thought I would stop before I wrecked it. #growthmindset"

By Mrs Walker "It was very relaxing creating the mandala."

By Miss Ferguson. "I found the mandala art a great mindfulness activity, however I felt a little frustrated trying to create the tutorial in imovie as it is still new to me." I am happy I stuck at it though.

We look forward to seeing your mandala art work and don't forget to tune in on Friday where we will have a new challenge for you all. Take care!

  1. Wow, Mr Gibson, Mrs Walker and Miss Ferguson, your mandalas look amazing. I can't wait to have a go at doing this myself.

  2. Wow I really like all of your mandalas! I can see you all worked hard to make them. Maybe I will have a go at making one this week! Thanks for sharing the video of how to do it Miss Ferguson.
