Katherine's science experiment

Today I did an experiment to learn about water.

Firstly, I got one empty cup, one cup with red water and one cup with yellow water.

Then, I folded two paper towels, made one side of the paper towel in the empty cup, another side in the cup with water.

After that, I was waiting to have a see what will happen.

The amazing thing is the water can automatically travel up the paper towel and go down to the empty cup and these two colours were mixed together to be a new orange colour.

Mum told me that's like how plants' roots can take the water from the underground and travel the water up to the leaves at the top.

I like this experiment!

  3. Hi Katherine
This is a very clever experiment that you have done. I love the new colour that you made. You could try mixing other colours to see what other colours you could make.

  4. Hi Katherine

What a cool experiment you have done. I wonder what would happen if you used yellow and blue? I wonder what the middle colour would be.
Looks like you are having lots of fun.

    1. Hi Nicole, I remember that I learned from a book. It said when the blue and red mixed together,we could get purple. But I need to have a try to get the result.
